APPLIED SPECIALTIES, Inc. was founded in the Spring of 1981 as a water treatment company specialized in providing heavy industrial clients with service and technology specifically geared to their individual needs.
Terry Scheurman, President and CEO of APPLIED SPECIALTIES, felt that a company which concentrated more on solving problems than just selling chemicals would fill a void which existed in the marketplace. This remains ASI’s philosophy to the present day.
Starting small and building a client base one by one, ASI grew to encompass clientele throughout the U.S. and several foreign countries. ASI moved to its current headquarters (which also houses ASI’s laboratory and production facilities) during the last few days of December 1986. Located in Avon Lake, Ohio, just a short distance from beautiful Lake Erie and 20 miles west of Cleveland, this site offers rapid service to our clients around the country.
ASI is dedicated to providing a positive and safe work experience for all its employees. APPLIED SPECIALTIES is also committed to safeguarding the environment from chemical abuse and misuse. Working together with government, community, and environmental factions, we head into the 21st century devoted to developing safer, cleaner, and more environmentally friendly technologies.
