The rising costs of coal and oil demand complete combustion in order to extract every available BTU from the fuel. Improved fuel conditioning and combustion aid techniques can provide long-term protection to equipment. ASI fuel stabilizers and combustion catalysts help prevent high and low temperature corrosion, deposition and slag accumulation. ASI products remove sludge by controlling solvent action, eliminating entrained water, and inhibiting corrosion.
Another series removes heavy polymeric and asphaltene deposits through the use of additional solvents. Applied Specialties also provides a combustion catalyst, a blend of organo-metallics, used to reduce slag and improve fuel efficiency with less smoking. ASI’s magnesium oxide slurry prevents vanadium slag formation and high temperature corrosion while reduces sulfuric acid smoke emissions.
