Microbiological build-up can be a major factor in reduced heat transfer. Applied Specialties’ microbiocides help to maintain system efficiency and prevent plugging of heat exchangers and other recirculating cooling water equipment by controlling build-up of all types of troublesome biological organisms including: slime-forming and iron depositing bacteria, rot-causing organisms, and algae just to name a few. Many of these products are also biodegradable. ASI biocides are completely compatible with all Applied Specialties total treatment programs.
