Many of the ASI corrosion inhibitors are NON-POLLUTING in that they contain no chromates, zinc, phosphates, or heavy metals. Our products are organically-based corrosion inhibitors containing polymeric scale and foulant control agents. Applied Specialties’ corrosion inhibitors do not contain pH sensitive materials. Acid feed can usually be eliminated with the use of our products.
The ASI total treatment program uniquely combines both deposit and corrosion inhibitors for effective system protection, with single product convenience and non-polluting characteristics. ASI products contain a blend of corrosion inhibitors for all metals common to cooling water systems without the use of chromate (which is now prohibited). Also included, are sludge conditioners, scale inhibitors and deposit inhibitors for a complete deposit/corrosion control program. Many ASI corrosion inhibitors are designed for severe corrosion conditions where chromate was once used. These products have been particularly effective in all-steel systems and in systems where high temperatures are encountered.
For potable water systems, as well as once-through cooling water systems, ASI cooling water products are effective in stabilizing iron, preventing calcium scale and controlling corrosion.
